I have been airbrushing clients for many years and find there’s still so much confusion about the topic, so I decided to bring light and clarify this subject once and for all with topics related to questions I have received from past clients.
Will my makeup look cakey with airbrush makeup?
Makeup is only as good as the skin it lays on top of so whether it is airbrush or regular foundation make sure your skin is in good shape to receive the makeup.
Can airbrush be used on mature skin?
Your makeup will separate, look cakey and uneven If you don’t keep a good skin care routine: cleansing every night , exfoliating once or twice a week and and moisturizing like it’s your job.
So if the skin is in good shape it really doesn’t matter the age of the person receiving the service.
Will you airbrush my eyes, cheeks ad lips?
When makeup artists say airbrush makeup, we are typically referring to the foundation and how it is applied.
Can eyeshadow, blush and lip color be airbrushed? Absolutely, however when it comes to event makeup we at Makeover Station are typically referring to foundation only. Makeup artists prefer to apply eyeshadow and blush with brushes to achieve a better blend.
What type of coverage can I expect with airbrush versus traditional makeup?
Traditional foundation will provide medium to full coverage while airbrush foundation can go from Sheer to full coverage.
Your makeup artist will be able to customize the coverage according to your skin needs.
Is airbrush more long lasting than regular makeup?
In my professional opinion It is and that’s why I have been airbrushing for more than 10 years. Airbrush makeup is extremely long lasting however we have to keep in mind that any makeup staying power is solely related to client’s skin condition.
